DOUBLE-NEGATIVE
PUBLISHING

=
+

Double-negative publishing seeks the new and the avant-garde in writing. If you would like to submit your work, whether art catalogue, completed book, essay, book of poetry or single poem for an anthology, please submit a writing sample, brief biography, and current cv to: badillon2020@icloud.com.

About the name: I named my publishing house double-negative, for three reasons. The first meaning of the name is from my early work as a black & white photographer, because I loved to create multiple exposures and images by printing two negatives together in the enlarger to create new compositions. The second meaning comes from mathematics, in which two negatives can equal a positive. The third meaning is symbolic, and is embodied in the logo, in which two negatives, which also makes an equals sign, can be turned on a 90-degree angle to become a plus sign, visually representing the meaning of positivity.
